Risk Management - Litigation Avoidance

Our success in the courtroom has spawned a burgeoning area of our practice: risk management, planning, and other proactive measures designed to avoid or minimize the effects of litigation. Risk management is a discipline that aims to protect the employer by reducing the potential for loss before it occurs.

The risk management process consists of four elements:

• Risk Assessment - identifying the exposures
• Loss Control - reducing the frequency and/or severity of losses through preventive measures
• Risk Transfer – identifying areas of insurance coverage under various types of policies
• Risk Monitoring - continually assessing exposure
